About Us

Bourton & Sherborne Hockey Club is a thriving fun club for players of all ages and abilities, based in Bourton-on-the-Water.

We currently run a Senior Mens' teams, two Ladies Teams. We also have a highly potential and flourishing Junior side consisting of a Badgers (Boys) team and a Vixens (Girls) team as well as Under 11s Mini section.

The hockey Club's emphasis is on enjoyment as well as playing competitive hockey. We are a successful and friendly club with an active calendar of fixtures.

Bourton and Sherborne Hockey Club’s history starts over 70 years ago when Bourton HC first fielded a Mens and Ladies team.

When the league made it compulsory for matches to be played on astroturf the games were originally played at Kingham Hill before eventually moving back to Bourton and The Cotswold School.

BASHC have always had an emphasis of bringing youth through the ranks – one of which being Jenny Townsend, the current Ladies 1st captain.

Every year the team plays for the Janet Mclachlin Trophy, in memory of one of the Ladies 1s players and one of the founding members of the club.
